The Thrown Together Band sings the songs of times past. Our two special interests are

Traditional Celtic Tunes
and music of and about the
American Civil War 1861-1865.

It will be no surprise then that we are often heard singing Civil War tunes of Celtic, especially Irish origin – and there are a good many of those. An amazingly high percentage of both the Union and the Confederate armies were made up of first generation Irish immigrants.
